Power BI Analyst
Power BI Report Writer / Analyst
Environment:
Maintain the current Power BI report environment, in conjunction with the offshored team in India who
are responsible for:
• the maintenance of the BI infrastructure
• the maintenance of the data warehouse
• ensuring the data (Bullhorn and Fasttrack) is received and loaded correctly
• ensuring all current reports are running and loading accurately.
Day to Day:
• Liaising with external development team to resolve any day-to-day issues, report failures, missing
data etc.
• Providing information & ad hoc reports to the sales team/management.
• Extracting data for marketing/bids as requested e.g. placement data, candidates on the database, contractor numbers
Report Writing and Analysis
• Create new reports, visualizations, and workflows based on business logic as provided by manager
through conversations with business lines.
• Create ad hoc reports and datasets based on data requests
• Maintain/update current reports and workflows based on evolving needs
• Automate current processes based on business logic as provided by manager through conversations with business lines
• Working with the sales team to document any new requirements for client reports.
• Working with senior management to implement changes to existing reports.
• Report testing and implementation
• Troubleshoot reports or processes to resolve errors
• Document report or process requirements
• Implementing new incentive plans into the reports at EOFY
• Implementing new commission changes for new
• Write clear procedures and instructional manuals to build out self-service capabilities in Teams.
Manage tasks via Teams Planner.
Technical Requirements:
• Report writing experience in SSRS, PowerBI
• Working with data sets (Transforming and loading data)
• Working knowledge of MS O365 Suite
• SQL experience
• SharePoint experience (O365 preferred)
• SSRS experience
• Master Data Services (MDS)e
Analyst Requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Workflow experience (MS Power Automate preferred)
• Data visualization experience (MS Power BI preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take requirements from non-technical people.
